We are really leaning into the playful elegance of Wabi-Sabi.

At Ginkgo House we see the natural beauty in imperfection and recognize that it’s the quirkiness and rough edges that gives life more of a robust flavor. Authenticity is not something that can be manufactured by the use of advanced technology, and it is not a measure of perfection. Unique and genuine beauty is something that comes from the unplanned and awkward moments and spaces between the staged perfection. At Ginkgo House, we choose to laugh at ourselves and have fun in the clunky process of moving through life, doing the best with what we have, and figuring things out as we go.

We are professionals, and we do love what we do, but we are not the salon that is going to take ourselves tooooo seriously.

Professional, yes. Skilled and talented, yes. Pretentious and judgy, no.

We offer an elevated and stylish experience, but we also keep things very real and approachable.

Our stylists are really amazing and inspiring people… in addition to being skilled, experienced, and gifted at what they do behind the chair.

We have the unique opportunity to function out of a home salon. This intimate setting allows us to offer a very exclusive and warm experience. Our community is our chosen family, we treat our family like gold, and we also value healthy communication and boundaries. We feel extremely fortunate to have each of you in our lives, and we hope that everyone that experiences our special space feels the same way.

We strive to quiet the noise of the chaotic outside world, and offer a place of respite and retreat from the pressures of life and the commercial world. And sometimes, we also really like to play loud, fun music and have a silly time.

We do not believe in pressured sales, or gimmicky trends and tricks. In every interaction and service provided we do our very best to meet each person where they are at, and celebrate they’re unique qualities and gifts. We invite you to come just as you are.
